Mandibular root forceps

  • These forceps have identical, slender beaks that are closed. The beaks are longer than that of the premolar forceps to enable the forceps to take a deep grip on the root stumps of all the mandibular teeth.

 

Suture& Needles

They have three basic components:

  1. The eye (shape of eye may be round, oblong or square)
  2. The body and
  3. The point.

 

The various Body Shapes are:

  1. Straight,                                     b. Half Curve,
  2. One-fourth circle,                                  d.  Three-eight circle,
  3. Half circle,                               f.  Five-eight circle
  4. Compound curve
