Collagen 60% Mainly Type 1 Collagen and TYPE IV collagen branches between the collagen type 1 bundles.

Elastic fibers composed of oxytalan, elaunin, and elastin fibers are distributed amongst collagen fibers.

Vessels, Nerves, Matrix: 35%

The gingival fibers are arranged in three groups: gingivodental, circular and transeptal.

Gingivodental fibers: fan shaped.extend on facial, lingual, and inetrproximal surfaces of tooth.

Circular fibers: encircle the tooth in ring like fashion

Transeptal fibers: Located interproximally these form the horizontal bundles that extend between the cementum of approximating teeth into whichvthey are embedded.
