This course aims to facilitate students to understand and gain knowledge of working as a chairside assistant who does oral prophylaxis, give instruction in oral hygiene and preventive dentistry but work under supervision of experienced Dental Surgeon. Training Module Includes: Perform patient examination Make diagnosis Take dental radiographs Patient education (providing oral healthcare advice and instructions) Scaling and root planning Cleaning, Polishing and whitening teeth Administer local anesthesia (usually under supervision of a qualified Dentist) Remove plaque Apply dental sealants, coatings, fluorides and antibacterial drugs Assist Dentists during surgery and patient examination AHEAD Dental Hygienist training program will encompass laboratory, clinical, and classroom instruction.
